Bertine E. Lahuis

Following her position as member (since 2017), Bertine Lahuis (1967) has taken on the role of Chair of Radboundumc's Executive Board as of January 2020. Radboudumc is one of the World's Best Hospitals in 2024 - Newsweek's ranking of the World's Best Hospitals -, a university medical center for patient care, research, and education, located in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. Radboudumc wants to be at the forefront in shaping health and healthcare of the future. Prior to that, she was a director and child psychologist at the Karakter children’s psychiatric hospital. She completed her studies in Medicine in Utrecht, specializing in child psychology and focusing on autism during her PhD. Until 2009, she worked at University Medical Center Utrecht.

Having experience designing all over the place, Maurits Algra knows like no other that not one hospital is the same. He has an extensive portfolio of international projects that he has contributed to.

Designs that make our lives healthier, have little impact on the planet, but a lasting impact on our cities - and people. Lars van Hoften is a Senior Associate Architect at UNStudio, working for over 10 years at UNStudio on a large variety of projects. From big infrastructure projects like the Doha Metro Line in Qatar and Chamartin Station in Madrid to smaller boutique projects like the Looking Glass in the PC Hooftstraat or the Mother Child Center in The Hague.
Hans Larsson

OMA is an international practice operating within the traditional boundaries of architecture and urbanism. Hans has overseen OMA’s Hospital of the Future research group, which culminated in an exhibition at the 2021 Venice Biennale as well as proposals for new hospitals in Paris and Cremona. Hans is also engaged in the development OMA's AI platform, and has taught at the Berlage, TU Delft, and written for 032c and Volume Magazine.

Senior Partner Stig Vesterager Gothelf leads 3XN/GXN Architects’ health and education projects, such as the new 68,000m2 North Wing extension to Copenhagen’s University Hospital and a new 58,000 m2 Children’s Hospital in Copenhagen, Mary Elizabeth’s Hospital, due to open in 2024. With over 20 years of professional experience, Stig is one of the driving forces behind the studio’s competition department. 3XN’s buildings are uniquely matched to each project but always seek to combine beauty and meaning by putting people at the center of design. Designing buildings that are light and connected, ensures clarity and well-being for their users.
Konstantin Rebrov

TALLINN CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL, ESTONIA
Since April 2023, Dr Konstantin Rebrov is the Chairman of the Management Board of Tallinn Children’s Hospital, leading paediatric hospital in Estonia, serving 2/3 of the population of the country. Being biggest paediatric hospital and having expertise in more than 30 different specialities, Tallinn Children’s Hospital has started recently a new path of transformation in diferent areas to become the most attractive insitution for pediatric patients (moving towards deeper patient centricity), physicians (concentrating competences to the hospital and expanding expertise beyond the borders), nurses (transforming into state of the art teaching center for nurses) and all the supportive functions. With the wide international experience in private sector and pharmaceutical industry, combined with the medical background and education in the field of diplomacy, Dr Rebrov is leading the hospital transfromation in several areas to ensure the key role of the institution.
